Kevin E. Zimmerman

Kevin Eugene Zimmerman, 53, of Hartford, SD,  was born February 23, 1968 in Omaha, NE.  He died on March 26, 2021.  He was adopted by Ivan & Arlene Zimmerman on March 18, 1968.  He was baptized at Zion UCC Church East of Gladstone NE April 28, 1968 and was confirmed on Palm Sunday April 4, 1982.

Kevin attended elementary and high school in Fairbury, NE graduating from high school in 1987.  He then went to SCC Milford majoring in auto body and graduated June 7, 1989.  After graduating from Milford, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.  During basing training Kevin studied the air force mission, organization and customs and received special training in human relations.  He was then stationed at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois where he attended technical school, specializing in fuels.  After his technical training he served at Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota as a fuels specialist.  Currently he was working for Northern Truck Equipment Corporation in Sioux Falls, SD as a sales representative.

Kevin married Amelia Madche on August 7, 2010, with this union Kevin was blessed with two stepdaughters Chloe and Elaine Larson.  Kevin also had a love for being with family, friends, his country, riding his motorcycle, hunting and fishing.

Kevin was preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Keith Zimmerman, Grandparents Frank and Viola Janssen and Esther and Paul Zimmerman.

He is survived by his wife Amelia, stepdaughters Chloe and Elaine, parents Ivan & Arlene Zimmerman, sister Connie (Barry) Schouboe, brother Tim (Amy) Zimmerman, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Cremation has taken place.  Services will be held at Zion Countryside Church (formerly Zion UCC) near Gladstone, NE (56205 713rd Road) on April 17 at 2:00 p.m.  Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice.
