Kristin J. Zelasney

Kristin Jean (Brown, Hansen) Zelasney, 60, formerly of Silver Creek, NE passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 17, 2019 in Fairbury. Kris was born in Pawnee City, NE on March 1, 1959 to James & Ardis (Stepan) Brown. She was united in marriage to Douglas Hansen on March 17, 1978. With that marriage they had three children. She lost Doug to cancer in October 2002. Kris then married Michael Zelasney on September 24, 2005. She gained two stepchildren. Kris worked in management at various jobs until she became disabled. She enjoyed watching NASCAR races and football, spending time with her family and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Michael Zelasney of Silver Creek, daughters Tonya Arellano of Endicott, Jayme Hansen of Fairbury, son Corey Hansen of Lincoln, two stepchildren Cody Zelasney of Grand Island, and Corbin Zelasney of Osceola, NE, her mom Ardis Brown of Lincoln, sisters Patti Klinker of Lincoln, Ronda (David) Holtzen of Glenwood, IA, 14 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Doug Hansen, father James Brown, brother-in-law George Klinker, granddaughter Nevaeh Hansen, and paternal and maternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Kris’s life will be Saturday December 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Fairbury. The family will be wearing purple in her honor. Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice.
