L. Pearle (Linson) Schultz, 98, of Fairbury, NE passed away October 3, 2016 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury. She was born to Charles and Laura (Shutts) Linson March 30, 1918.
Pearle was united in marriage to Edgar Schultz on March 6, 1937. To this union 7 children were born.
Her early years of employment were at the Broom Factory in Deshler, Nebraska. Sewing, cooking, making beautiful quilts that she pieced together for all her children and grandchildren were among her favorite hobbies, as well as lovingly tending to her family. She loved children and did babysitting for several relatives and families.
After the death of her husband in 1977, she had the opportunity to open and manage a women's Mode O' Day clothing store for five years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edgar, son Daryl Schultz, daughter Marge Freitag and grandson Darren DeBoer.
Survivors are daughters Barb (Phil) Bauer of Papillion, NE, Joyce (Bob) DeBoer of Fairbury, sons Eldon (Jean) Schultz of Bellevue, NE, Dale (Paula) Schultz, and Steve Schultz of Fairbury, son-in-law Darrel Freitag of Beatrice, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury with Darlene Novotny officiating. The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 7 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials will go to the Family’s choice. Burial will be at Deshler, NE. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
