LaNette (Corbin) Rosener, 91, of Fairbury, Nebraska, passed away at the Jefferson Community Health and Life Hospital in Fairbury on November 25, 2020.
Born in Fairbury on Dec. 27, 1928, LaNette graduated from Fairbury High School in 1946. On June 10, 1948, she married the love of her life Jack and had two sons - Jerry and Tom.
LaNette embraced life and enjoyed traveling and camping with her beloved husband Jack and spending time with her family and friends. When LaNette wasn’t with friends and family, which was rare, she loved puzzles. She was also known for her card-playing ability—just ask her grandchildren—and going to the casinos with friends and family.
She also loved to dress in costumes to entertain, or maybe scare, her grandchildren and then her great-grandchildren. Later she was known to entertain the residents and staff with her costumes and wild hair-color choices at Cedarwood who would become like family in her years as a member of the Cedarwood community.
Her infectious laugh and personality could fill a room and left everyone aware of her love for life and making those around her happy to have been along for the ride as her joy inevitably provided laughs for everyone.
Preceding her in death were parents Raymond and Daisy (Burkhart) Corbin; husband – Jack; son – Jerry; siblings – Jack, Virginia, Darlene, Doran and JoAnn.
She is survived by son Tom and wife Becky Rosener of Fairbury. Brothers – Rodney Corbin and wife Marie of Pine, Arizona; Don Corbin of Lincoln. Daughter-in-law – Cindy of Fairbury. Grandchildren - Amy Martin and her husband Jed of Fairbury; Mary Gleason and her husband Dan of Beatrice; Emily Prellwitz and her husband Eric of Fairbury; Joe Rosener and his wife Megan of Fairbury; Lisa Wilson and her husband Matt of Lincoln; Tyler Rosener and his wife Mikaela of Fairbury. Great-grandchildren Jake, Jack and James Martin; Annie, Sophie and Luke Gleason; Brodie and Jaycee Prellwitz; Marley & Rory Rosener, Colette and Gwyneth Wilson; Hartley, Colter and Burkley Rosener
