Laurin Schwisow

Laurin L. Schwisow, age 76 of rural Jansen, Nebraska, passed away on August 16, 2008 at his home. He was born July 18, 1932 at Daykin, Nebraska the son of Walter and Grace Mumby Schwisow.

Survivors include his wife Maxine Schwisow of rural Jansen, children Donald Schwisow and wife Kim, Debra Greif, Laurin D. Schwisow and special friend Maryanne Potwin, Bernice Schwisow all of Lincoln, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters Verda Shields of Phillipsburg, Kansas, Linda VanMeter of Lincoln, brother Glenn Schwisow and wife DeeAnn of Swanton, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery with military rites. Memorials are to the family’s choice in lieu of flowers.
