Lawrence Cacak

Lawrence Charles Cacak, 89 passed away January 19, 2014 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury, NE. He was born to Frank and Elizabeth Pavlicek Cacak on November 23, 1924 at Thompson, Nebraska. Lawrence married Verda Welsh on November 22, 1946.

He is survived by his wife of Fairbury, Ne., son; Harold of Orange County, CA, one daughter, Carol Allen, and husband Jay, of Broken Bow, Ne., one grandson; Ben Allen, of Omaha, and one granddaughter; Jessica Bartak and husband Scott of Merna, Ne. and two great-grandchildren; Aaron and Megan Bartak of Merna. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patty; three brothers; Joe, Frank and Stan Cacak; and one sister; Lily Durling.

Services will be Friday, January 24, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Fairbury, Ne., with Pastor Gail Cross officiating. Memorials are to the First Christian Church or Fairbury VFW. The family will greet friends at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home on Thursday evening January 23, 2014 from 5:30 – 7:30. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
