Lee Edwin Larson was born on June 23, 1947, in Red Wing, Minnesota, the son of Leland and Marcella Katherine (Huppert) Larson. He passed away on January 14, 2025, in Fairbury, Nebraska, at the age of 77.
Following his high school graduation, Lee enlisted in the US Air Force, serving until his honorable discharge in 1969 with the rank of Sergeant. He then enlisted in the Navy where he finished his career. He was also a member of the VFW.
He was united in marriage to Paula Wolski in Los Angeles, California, and to this union two children were born, Christopher and Lisa. Lee and Paula were later divorced.
Lee worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator. In retirement, Lee enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, and working on various odd jobs.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his children, son Christopher Larson and his fiancée Catina Smith, daughter Lisa Collins, and step son Erik Kelley; grandchildren Traven Larson, Quinten Larson, Matthew Larson, Trenton Collins, and Raven Collins; brother Terry Larson and his sister Shelley Anderson.
A private family service will be held later this spring at the Ft. McPherson National Veterans Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.
