Leonard "Slim" McCord age 79 of Fairbury, NE., passed away June 11, 2013 at Gardenside Long Term Care in Fairbury. He was born December 2, 1933 in Fairbury, NE. to Alvin & Ona (Miller) McCord.

Survivors are wife: Ruth McCord of Fairbury, daughters: Sandi (McCord) Hoffman of Buffalo, WY., Jill Likens & husband Terry of Fairbury, granddaughters: Shaylin Likens & Bailey Likens of Fairbury, brother: Francis McCord & wife Wilma of Fairbury, sisters: Marjorie Schoen & husband Marvin of Fairbury, Kay Reininger & husband Dave of Leigh, NE., sisters-in-law: Virginia McCord of Fairbury, Sally Thomas & husband Danny of Abilene, KS., brother-in-law: Jim Farber & wife Barb of Lincoln, numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 14, 2013 at the Presbyterian Church in Fairbury, with Pastor Steve Frazier officiating. The family will greet friends at the Funeral Home in Fairbury on Thur. June 13th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
