Letha "Lea" Achtemeier

Letha “Lea” Achtemeier, 92 years of age of Fairbury, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Heritage Care Center, Fairbury, Ne. She was born January 2, 1921 at Mahaska, Kansas the daughter of Ralph and Albena Tuma McCord.

Survivors include: Sons; Jerry and wife Shirley Achtemeier of Fairbury, Gary and wife Linda Achtemeier of Fairbury, and Daughter; Cheryl Zweifel and husband Dean of Fairbury, Sisters; Leona Kaltenberger, Dottie Boothe and Husband Larry all of Lincoln, Ne., Sister-in-law; Barbara McCord of Hastings, Ne, and Brother-in-law Bob Kohil of Ovada, FL. 4 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great–Grandchildren.

Services for Letha will be Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Fairbury, Ne. with Pastor Bill Jardine officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials to Family Choice. The family will greet friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home.
