Linda Marie. Lytle, 63 of Fairbury, NE formerly of Wymore, NE passed away on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at her home in Fairbury after a seven year battle with cancer.

She was born August 17, 1950 in Beatrice, NE. She was the youngest of eleven children born to Rolly and Evelyn (Williams) Salts. On June 19, 1970, she was married to Eddie D. Lytle in Wymore, NE, this union was blessed with two sons.

She graduated from Wymore, NE High School in 1968. After graduation, she worked at the Lutheran Hospital in Beatrice as a nurse’s aide. She then worked as a teller at the Wymore State bank in Wymore, NE. In 1973, her family moved to Fairbury, NE. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fairbury and was an active member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Linda was devoted to her family and enjoyed bird-watching, playing cards, camping, bowling, fishing and most of all, spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include husband Ed Lytle of Fairbury, and two sons Todd Lytle and wife Deanna of Fairbury and Tony Lytle and wife Jen of Wilber, six grandchildren Alissa, Sara and Matthew Lytle (Fairbury), Carter Lytle, Owen and Shali McCright, and one granddaughter due to arrive in October (all from Wilber). Three brothers: Rolly Salts and wife Jeannette of Bloomfield, NE, Bill Salts and wife Kay of Clay Center, KS, Jim Salts and wife Kathy of Broken Bow, NE, sisters: Janet Whitehead and husband Harry of Minneapolis, MN, Shirley Cooper and husband Don of Mission, TX, Daisy Shook of CA, and Darlene Sears of OR. She was preceded in death by her parents Rolly and Evelyn Salts and brothers Mike, Bob and Ben Salts.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday August 11, 2014 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fairbury with Father John Birkel officiating. Burial was at the Wymore cemetery, Wymore, NE. A Rosary was held Sunday August 10, 2014 at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Her family greeted friends following the Rosary.
Memorials are being established to Beatrice Community Hospital Hospice program, St. Michaels Catholic Church, Parish Council of Catholic Women, and Jefferson County Relay for Life.
