Lois Schoenbeck

Lois Schoenbeck, 88 of Fairbury, NE, passed away March 5, 2017 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury. She was born May 23, 1928 to Fred G. and Martha Emile (Roesler) Bartels at Tobias, NE.

Lois was a hard working Mom, wife, doer of farm chores and a beloved Grandma. For 30 years she worked as a kind, patient caretaker of people who needed that care the most. Best of all she was a lady of faith.

Survivors are sons Warren (Bonnie) and Weldon of Western, Gregg of Lincoln, Daryl (Pat) of Cortland, daughters Audrey Schoenbeck of Daykin, Gladys (Daniel) Luebbe of Utica, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, husband Arthur, daughter-in-law Jeannette Schoenbeck, brother Frederick, sisters Lucinda Beckmann, Wilma Jordening, Marie Francis and great grandchild Tucker Ella Regnier.

Services will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Tobias, with Pastor Ryan Meyer officiating. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Fairbury from 5 – 7 p.m. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery and memorials will go to the church. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
