Loren Dale Specht

May 24, 1941 — March 28, 2024

Loren Dale Specht, 82 of Fairbury, NE, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Lincoln NE. He was born on May 24, 1941, at Endicott. He enjoyed basketball and track and graduated from Endicott High School in 1959.

He married Judy Bloyd at The First Baptist Church in Fairbury in 1961. To this union they had 4 children: Christopher, Holly, Heather and Melissa.  He had many various jobs over the years, and enjoyed hobbies, rock hunting, senior center activities and playing cards with friends.

Loren and Evelyn Lange were joined by marriage, May 30, 1986.  They were active members of the United Methodist church and Endicott Community.

Survivors include children: Chris Specht and wife Gayle of Goodyear, AZ; Holly Kuhns of Deshler, NE; Heather Ruhkamp and husband David of Home, KS; Melissa Miller of Beatrice, NE. Grandchildren; Kayla, Tanner, Samantha, Cassandra, Morgan, Martina, Bradley Jr., Andrea, Josiah, Veronica, Benjamin, and Great Grandchildren. Sister Marvene Rogers, Judy Crosier (Bloyd). Special Friend Charlotte Heller. Many Nieces and Nephews.

Loren was preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Alma (Anderson) Specht, Sister Naomi McAtee and husband Bill, Brothers Ray and Wayne Specht. Wife Evelyn Specht (Hughes) 2013, Ron Wiegert, James Specht and Larry Lange and brother-in-law Wayne Rogers.

Graveside Services will be at the Steele City Cemetery on April 13th, at 11AM, with a fellowship time following at the Endicott Town Hall.
