Loriene Eitzmann

Loriene Anna Minnie Eitzmann, age 86, of Byron, Nebraska, died on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Born to John and Alida (Heitmann) Duensing on August 5, 1923 in rural Byron. Member St. Paul Lutheran Church. Retired office manager of Farmer’s Co-op Elevator.

Survivors include her sons, daughters-in-law, Arlis and Lynnis, Byron, Norris and Margene, Gayle and Carla, Superior; daughter, Denice Hoops and special friend Marlin Hupka, Lincoln, daughter, son-in-law, Kristi and Jay Peterson, Fairbury; sisters, Lola Eitzmann, Byron; Esther Elting; Davenport, sister and brother-in-law Verna and James Lambert, East Grand Forks, Minnesota; brother Lewis Duensing, Byron; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, husband A.R. “Curly” Eitzmann.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Byron. Pastor Connie Raess and Pastor Daryl Nelson presiding. Interment will follow at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Byron. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Gerdes Meyer Funeral Home, Fairbury, Sunday the family will be greeting friends from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church in Byron, one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
