Lorna G. Troxel

Lorna Gertrude Sophie Troxel, 87, formerly of Endicott passed away January 23, 2019 at Beatrice Health & Rehab. Lorna was born August 24, 1931 in Odell, NE to John and Martha (Fuchs) Bartels. She became a child of God through the waters of Holy Baptism at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kansas. She also confessed her faith in this salvation from God and received the body and blood of her Savior as a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Wymore, NE.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Ebbers of Beatrice and Martha (Wayne) Sonsteng of Stillwell, KS; sons, Eric (Susan) Troxel of Sour Lake, TX, Brian Troxel of Wymore, NE and Ernest Troxel of Sour Lake, TX; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

Lorna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy E. Troxel (Bill); daughter, Susan Marie; son, Merlin Leo; grand-daughter, Kandice Chantelle; great-great-grandson, Craig Supthin; her sister and brothers.

Services will be Monday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury, NE. Family will greet friends at Gerdes-Meyer on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Memorials have been designated to St. Peters Lutheran Church in Wymore, NE. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery.
