Lucile Singleton

Lucile Singleton, age 90 of Fairbury, Nebraska died on February 2, 2008 in Fairbury. She was born December 18, 1917 at Fairbury the daughter of Roy and Florence McDonnell Monroe.

Survivors include her sons Roy Singleton and wife Ruth of Omaha, Nebraska, Jim Singleton of Hebron, Nebraska, Donald Singleton, Jr. of Fairbury, Alan Singleton and wife Janis of Beatrice, Nebraska, Scott Singleton of Lincoln, Nebraska, her daughters Brenda Nicholson and husband Roger of Phoenix, Arizona, Susan Sealey of Hastings, Nebraska, Sally Hawkins and husband Ron of Lincoln, Patricia Beeck and husband Howard of Lincoln, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a brother Bill Monroe and wife Ella Mae of Fairbury.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Singleton, Sr., sisters Louise Jones and Helen Stewart, brother Sam Monroe and son-in-law Dennis Sealey.

Vigil service will be on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury. Mass will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fairbury. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery.
