Lyle D. Hennerberg

Lyle D. Hennerberg, 85 of Hollenberg, Kansas, passed away April 15, 2015 at Washington Co. Hospital in Washington, KS. He was born to Rolin and Minnie (Luhring) Hennerberg July 12, 1929 at Hollenberg, KS.

He married Norma Brenneis November 23, 1952 in the Hollenberg Methodist Church.

Lyle served as church treasurer, he was a Parish Council Representative, served 18 years on the Coop Board in Hanover and several years on the school board.

He is survived by his wife Norma, daughter Vickie McCandless of Wichita, KS, son Jerry Hennerberg of Hollenberg, 2 Grandchildren Brandon Hennerberg and William McCandless, brothers Alvin (Elaine) Hennerberg of Fairbury, Ervin (Betty) Hennerberg of Diller, NE, Larry (Carolyn) Hennerberg of Beatrice, NE, and Dennis (Jeannette) Hennerberg of Diller, NE.

He is preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Leroy Hennerberg.

Services will be Saturday April 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion State Line Lutheran Church at Hollenberg, Kansas with Pastor Judy Hill officiating. Burial will be at Zion State Line Lutheran Cemetery with Memorials to the church or ALS or Meadowlark Hospice. The family will greet friends Friday the 17th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
