Mabel H. Miller

Mabel Helen Miller, 82, Fairbury, Ne., passed away on February 25, 2019 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury.
Mabel was born to parents Elmo Henry and Cassie (Blanks) Wilkerson on June 7, 1936 in Monroe, VA.
Mabel spent her earlier years in various places across the country, Virginia, Washington D.C., Illinois, Arizona, California and Kansas. In 2006, Mabel moved from Blue Rapids, Ks to Wymore, Ne and then to Fairbury, Ne.
Over the years, Mabel spent time as a childcare provider. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mabel loved collecting dolls, reading, growing her house plants and loved flowers. On April 16, 1987 Mabel was baptized in Marysville, Ks. Mabel was a very sweet, special and loving person.
Mabel is survived by her long-time companion Bill Garrett; her daughters, Marnie Winslow; Ardie Bergman; Kathy Metcalf and Marlene Kelso (Bill); her sons, Michael Kelso and Brian Kelso (Linda). Thirty-two grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren and special friends Kristina (Kevin) Riggle and their family.
Mabel is preceded in death by her parents Elmo and Cassie Wilkerson, brothers Robert and Joe Wilkerson, sister, Doris Gallion and daughter, Carla Gerstner.
Cremation has taken place. The interment of the ashes will be at Greenwood Cemetery south of Blue Rapids, Ks at a later date.
