Mable E. (Otten) Harrold, 87, of Lincoln, NE was peacefully called to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Mable was born on August 17, 1933 in Fairbury, NE to George & Edna (Gaston) Otten.
She grew up in rural Alexandria, NE and graduated from Alexandria High School in 1950. In 1952, Mable married Lewis Harrold. They moved to Lincoln. To this union three children were born; daughter Rhonda and sons Kim & Tony.
Mable was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Lincoln. When Second Presbyterian dissolved and Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church was formed, she was a member there. She worked at Pershing Auditorium ticket office in Lincoln for many years, where she acquired many life-long friends. She enjoyed her Tuesday morning bowling league, shopping, camping, boating, traveling, Nebraska football and most of all, her grandkids, great-grandkids and their activities.
Mable is survived by her daughter Rhonda Bartels (Mike Soukup) of Hebron, NE and son Kim (Kris) Harrold of Arvada, CO, grandchildren Scott Bartels (Angie Dickinson), Troy Bartels, Keanan Harrold, Kendra (Zach) Zimmer, Melissa Harrold (Nick McLeod), Nickolas Harrold, great-grandchildren Cade Bartels, Zoey & Brayden Zimmer, step-great-grandsons Cole & Clay Dickinson, sister Eva Durflinger of Fairbury, sister-in-law Shirley Otten of Stockton, CA, many nieces & nephews.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lewis Harrold, son Tony Harrold, son-in-law Jerry Bartels, brothers Dale Otten (Sonja) Charles Otten, sister Mary Hunter (Gene) and brother-in-law Darrel Durflinger.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, NE with Pastor Jeff Warrick officiating. Internment will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Alexandria Cemetery, Alexandria, NE with Lana Likens officiating. Viewing will be Wednesday April 14 th from 5 – 8 p.m. & Thursday, April 15th from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury. Memorials have been established to Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Lincoln and the Alexandria, NE Cemetery. Gerdes-Meyer is assisting with arrangements.
