She attended rural grade school and graduated from Fairbury High School in 1957. She enjoyed working for “Doc” Schwab in high school, where she earned 50 cents an hour to play with the animals. She worked as a receptionist for the extension office and enjoyed working at the Fairbury radio station as a receptionist.
Margaret met the love of her life, Jewell Buchli, at a dance, and were united in marriage on May 20 th , 1961. They were blessed with 56 years of marriage, 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The newlyweds resided outside of Reynolds for the first few years before moving to their farm just west of Alexandria. In 2004 they moved to “town” Fairbury, NE. She devoted her life to her family and especially enjoyed having grandchildren over. It was a happy marriage and she was a great homemaker and always had delicious meals prepared for family. Though she will be greatly missed it’s a blessing that she’ll be reunited with Jewell in heaven.
