Mary Dolores "Dee" Elgert, age 88 of Lincoln formerly Fairbury, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away November 6, 2007 in Lincoln. Her greatest pleasure was her family. Dee was born May 15, 1919 at Horton, Kansas to Wilbur and Mary McGinnis Parker. She married Earl Elgert on December 13, 1941. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Fairbury and a member of the Cathedral Of The Risen Christ in Lincoln.

Dee is survived by her husband Earl Elgert of LIncoln, sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Linda Elgert, Pat and Judy Elgert all of Lincoln, John Elgert and Matt Elgert both of Bellevue, Nebraska, daughter and son-in-law Francie and Kim Elder of Lincoln, brother and sister-in-law Bill and Anita Parker of Grand Island, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Francis Parker.

Rosary will be Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Chapel in Fairbury. Mass will be on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Fairbury. Burial will be at the Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials are to the family's choice. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and one hour preceding services at the church on Monday.
