Mary Ann Larkins

Mary Ann Cunningham Larkins, 91, of Fairbury, passed away April 25, 2019 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury.  She was born January 14, 1928 to Lloyd & Ida Cunningham at Gladstone, NE.  She was the 7 ^th of 9 siblings.

Mom and her family moved to Fairbury when she was 4 and for the next 87 years that is where she lived.  While her siblings chose to move away, she remained in her beloved Fairbury.  She attended St. Michael’s School and Fairbury High School.

Mom loved to dance, bowl, play cards and spend time with family and friends.

She is survived by son Michael & wife Joni, daughter Marcia & husband David, grandchildren Angi, Kairi, Kareena, Adrienne, Meredith and Patrick.  Her legacy carried on with 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Art, Ben, Harvey, Nick and Pat, sisters Eleanor, Jo & Katie, her husband’s Sid Jr. Backer & Don Larkins.

Services will be Monday, April 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Gerdes-Meyer Chapel in Fairbury.  Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery.  Memorials will go to the Fairbury Elks Lodge. www.gerdesmeyerfh.com
