Melvin D "Bud" Nespor, 85, of Fairbury, formerly Endicott, passed away November 3rd, 2013. He was born August 27, 1928 in Marysville, KS to Wesley and Anna (Hogan) Nespor.
He was a faithful, faith-filled husband and father who served his country in Korea, was an active member of his church, and held a number of public service positions as a long time resident in his community of Endicott, NE. He was also active in the American Legion, the VFW, Elks and Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by sons Steven and wife Lori, Robert and wife Julie, Wesley and wife Allison, Michael, Patrick and wife Lee, and daughter Elizabeth Hartig and husband Rod, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty eight years, Darlene (Griffee); parents; brothers and sister; and by sons Kenneth and Paul.
Mass will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fairbury with Father Rudy Oborny officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery.
Rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury.
