Merle Louis Meyer

Merle Louis Meyer, age 86 of Western, died on January 13, 2008 in Fairbury. He was born March 26, 1921 at Daykin, Nebraska the son of Louis and Mollie Endorf Meyer.

Survivors include his wife Joann Meyer, sons Gary Meyer and wife Patsy, Randy Meyer and wife Jodi, daughter Sharlene Lutz and husband Tim, step-sons Doran Ziemann, Bruce Ziemann and wife Nancy, Brian Ziemann and wife Tina, step-daughters Diane Carter, Ila Rae Hergott and husband Richard, Lynette Brown, 29 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister Ruth Brown, brothers Wayne Meyer, George Meyer, Roger Meyer and wife Geri, and Charles Meyer.

Services will be on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church Of Christ in Western with Pastor Glenda Jardine officiating. Burial will be at the Plainview Cemetery at Western. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Nuckolls-Meyer Funeral Home in Western.
