Death notice:

Mildred LaVerne Gibson Carver Campbell Deaver, age 88 of Lincoln, Nebraska formerly of Gothenberg, Nebraska and Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on December 31, 2009 in Lincoln. She was born on July 28, 1921 at Gladstone, Nebraska the daughter of Stephen and Mildred Gibson.

Survivors include her grandson Michael Alan Drees of Council Bluffs, Iowa, granddaughter Michelle Drees of Port Charlotte, Florida, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Cecil Carver, Maurice Campbell, Clarence Deaver, daughter Loretta Delhay, 7 brothers and sisters.

Vigil services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury. Mass will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fairbury with Father John Birkel officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery.
