Nancy Ann R. Matzner

Nancy Ann R. Matzner, 72, Fairbury NE, formerly of Yankton, SD, passed away June 21, 2017 in Fairbury. She was born February 21, 1945 to Wayne & Ruth Gustafson at Holdrege, NE. She graduated from Axtell High School in 1963. Her lifelong passion was promoting and marketing radio stations along with serving in many service clubs. She was married to Stan Matzner in 1985. She is survived by her husband Stan, children Crystal (Mark) Norvell of Geneva, NE, Greg (Melissa) Cromer of Beatrice, NE, stepchildren, Terry (Ronda) Matzner of Yuma, AZ, Sheri (Jon) Zulauf of Plymouth, NE. 6 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, a sister Vera Lee (Stan) Brodine of Kearney, NE and a brother Millard (Michelle) Gustafson of Beatrice, NE. and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Wayne & Ruth Gustafson. She was very proud and bragged about all of her grandchildren's accomplishments, and loved her dogs CC, Tessie & Zoe. A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the American Legion in Kearney, NE from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Humane Society or Service Clubs or Family's choice. Casual dress is suggested.
