Nellie "Beth" Harms

Nellie E. (Beth) Harms was born July 18, 1922 in Steinauer, NE. to Frank and Ruby (Parthemer) Whiting and passed away on May 14, 2014. She resided the last three years at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury, Nebraska.

Beth Whiting was united in marriage to Harry Harms on July 18, 1940 at Washington, KS and to this union Gilbert and Kathy were born.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harry, daughter Kathy Knoche, parents Frank and Ruby (Parthemer) Whiting, Brothers Gilbert, Frank and Jont Whiting and Sister Barbara Rohac.

Beth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gilbert and Nancy Harms of Fairbury; son-in-law Jerry Knoche of Lincoln, NE., five granddaughters, Heidi and husband Jerry Miller of Fairbury; Holly and husband Jack Wardell of Carroll, IA.; Heather and husband Clifton Jackman of Augusta, GA.; Lisa Knoche and boyfriend Chris Lutz and Lori Knoche of Lincoln, NE.; Eight great-grandchildren, Taylor and Delaney Miller of Fairbury, NE.; Cody, Jordyn, Payton and Amanda Wardell of Carroll, IA.; Cooper and Calla Jackman of Augusta, GA.; brother and sisters-in-law George and Rogene Harms and Darlene Harms of Lincoln, NE. and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services for Nellie were Wednesday, May 21st at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jansen, NE. with Pastor Charles Schmidt officiating. Memorials will go to Nebraska Community Blood Bank and Team Mates. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury was in charge of the arrangements.
