Nicholas Humble Fry, 40, of Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, died February 10 in Crozer Hospital after suffering sudden cardiac arrest on Feb. 6. Mr. Fry was born October 6, 1981, in Hershey, Pennsylvania and spent his early years in Elizabethtown.
As a teenager, he moved to Fairbury, Nebraska, where he graduated from Fairbury High School and Southeast Community College in Milford, NE. Mr. Fry was a longtime employee of Mistras Group. Operating out of their base in Trainer, Mr. Fry worked as an acoustic emissions technician to ensure the safe functioning of power plants, storage tanks, and pipelines throughout North America and the Caribbean. Mr. Fry loved being with his family and friends, traveling, cooking, and the outdoors.
He is survived by his family in Fairbury, including his father, Kenneth E. Fry; his mother, Kimberley S. Kleinbohl; his stepfather, John C. Kleinbohl; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Liz and Tim Hyson, Jeorgia and Chris Richie, and Jaimee Kleinbohl; his nephews and nieces Domenic, Noah, Hoyt, Lillian, Aloe, Lily, Berlyn, Luna, Jewells, Ragnar, Finton, and Betsy; and his life partner, Laura Nagel of
Brookhaven, PA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Gerdes Meyer Funeral Home on Wednesday February 23, 2022, at 3pm.
