Nicolaas A. Flaming

We have been so encouraged by all the notes, phone calls, and visits that we have received over the past few days. Life has changed for us forever, and it will take some time for us to even begin to understand all the changes that have happened in such a short time. In the meantime, the amazing support of our friends and family is helping us moment by moment to make it through each day. We are so blessed in our lives to have had two incredible sons who have been our best friends as well... and we are also very blessed to have so many supportive friends here and around the world. Community cannot be replaced at a time like this.


We are struggling with many details at the moment, so we won't try to start responding yet to all the incredibly supportive communications we are receiving. But we understand that we need to share with you just one or two quick points at this time.


Nic's memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, 27 April at the Jansen Bible Church in Jansen, NE. The church is located on the north edge of town, and Jansen is just a few miles outside Fairbury, on Hwy 136 coming from Beatrice & Lincoln.


We are setting up a memorial fund in Nic's memory which will be administered by International Training Partners as the Nicolaas A. Flaming Memorial Fund. Nic had many great ideas and hopes, and we have the desire to take some time to consider how we can honor his memory by developing ministry along the lines of his passions. Flaming Memorial Fund.


So, we will be in touch again later as we get things a bit better organized. Gwen was to leave for Nepal tomorrow morning, but will not be traveling as planned. Please do pray for the facilitator team there who will need to organize and run the workshop in Kathmandu next week without her involvement.
