Olga Bast-Pedersen

Olga Bast-Pedersen, 86 of Lincoln, passed away in Lincoln on June 5, 2013. She was born February 28, 1927 at Jansen, NE to Nick and Elizabeth Rempel Friesen.

She was manager of Ben Franklin Store in Washington, KS and also worked for Lincoln Telephone Co., Lamberts Cleaners, JM McDonalds, JC Penney, Region V, and Lincoln Journal-Star.

She is survived by daughter Sandra Borden and husband Frank of Superior, NE, son Roger Bast and wife Marilyn of Lincoln, NE. Grandchildren Jonathan Borden and wife Katie of Sioux Falls, SD, Eric Borden and fiance Heidi Dickmann of Mankato, KS, Beka Ringsmuth and husband Andy of Lincoln, NE, Brooke Schamber and husband Michael of Lincoln, NE. Great grandson D.J. Van Slyke of Lincoln, NE. Brother Donald Friesen and wife Jean of St. Paul, MN. Nephews Dwight Friesen and wife Betsy of St. Paul, MN, Reed Friesen and wife Sherrie of St. Paul, MN, Leroy Bast of Fairbury, NE, a niece Glenda Jardine and husband Bill of Fairbury, NE. Preceded in death by parents, sister Hilda Friesen, husbands Leland Bast and William Pedersen, nephew Robert Schoenrock, brother-in-laws and spouses Alvin and Pearl Bast, Art and Edna Schoenrock.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Fairbury with Pastor Michael Canada officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials are to Crossbridge Christian Church.
