Pamela "Jill" Ehrett

Pamela “Jill” Ehrett, 86, of Fairbury, NE, passed away November 12, 2022, at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury.  She was born January 9, 1936 to Ralph ”Jack”,  and Annie “Nan”  (Dolman) Wood in Dunstable, England.

She attended school and graduated in England. “Jill” arrived in Fairbury, NE by train. She was united in marriage to Donovan Ehrett at Grace Lutheran Church on February 10, 1957, by Rev. M. Matuska.  She became a Citizen of the United States on February 28, 1966.

“Jill” worked as a cook at the Elks Club & Courtyard Square and she worked as a Dietary Aide at Jefferson Co. Memorial Hospital.  She enjoyed cooking, serving people, reading, and traveling to Casinos.  She also enjoyed her children and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother, Tony Wood of England, son Rick (Susi) Ehrett of Alliance, NE, grandson, Eric Bignell & (Casey), greatgrandchildren Sydney & Jaylen Bignell, great-great-grandchildren Azaria, Azamarah & Aziyah Bignell, son Tony (Jan) Ehrett of Lincoln, Brian, Sally Beran, Preston, Grady, Claire of Kansas City, MO, Jamey & Michelle Lieske, Zayd, Jase and MarKaye of Lincoln, nephews Carey Wood & Family of England, Richie Wood & girlfriend Nick of England.

Jill was preceded in death by her husband Don and her parents.

A Meet and Greet Celebration of Jill’s Life will be at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury on Thursday, November 17 ^th from 6 – 8 p.m.  Cremation has taken place, no viewing.  Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
