Patricia "Patsy" Roever

Patsy Jean Roever, 78, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Lincoln, NE surrounded by her family.  Patsy was born on July 30, 1942 to William and Marie Sohl.  She was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Roever on November 26, 1967. For their entire 53 year marriage the couple resided in Odell, NE where they raised their family.  Early on, Patsy worked as a supervisor at Formfit as well as a waitress at Best Western Hotel, both in Beatrice, NE.  Later on, her and her husband owned and ran the Corner Bar in Odell, NE.  She ended her working career at NEAPCO in Beatrice before retiring in 2009.  Patsy enjoyed all sports, especially baseball and Husker football.  She always enjoyed visits from family, especially from her grandkids.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Dick and three daughters: Stephanie Shelly (Toby Lutz) of Beatrice, Stacey Vitosh (Jason) of Falls City, NE, and Leigh-Anne Hughes (Arthur) of Beatrice.  She had 8 grandchildren: Tyler Roberts (Amanda), Trever Roberts, Makenna Shelly, Leslie, William and Emily Vitosh, Eden and Kennedy Hughes.  Patsy also had 2 great-grandchildren: Grayson and Ian Roberts and a sister: Janice Wittwer, Falls City, NE.  A sister: Janice Wittwer, Falls City, NE and three brothers: Lawrence Sohl (Norma), Beatrice, NE, Gary Sohl (Janet), Wymore, NE, and Kenneth Sohl (Patty), Wymore, NE.

Patsy is preceded in death by her mother, Marie Sohl (Scheele) and her father, William Sohl, her brothers Merlin Sohl and Arlo Sohl, and her sister Shirley Wieden (Sohl).

Services will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Odell, NE. Masks required.  Visitation will be held at Vance-Gerdes Funeral Home, Odell, on Sunday, January 24 from 2pm - 8pm. Family will be there to receive visitors on Sunday from 2pm - 4pm and Monday from 6pm -8pm. Due to the weather - the visitation and viewing for Monday has been canceled.
