Phillip D. Brunow 76, of Fairbury, NE passed away November 26, 2020 in Fairbury. He was born August 26, 1944 to Henry and Irene Brunow in Smith Center, Kansas.
Phil attended Fairbury Public Schools K-12, graduating in 1962. At 16, he started work for the Rock Island Railroad on section. He worked for various railroads for 41 years before retiring in 2003 while living in Pratt, KS. In 1963, he married Yvonne Dionne and to that union three children were born.
In 2004 after Phil retired, they moved back to Fairbury.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard Brunow and Edward Crocker and sister Phyllis Ebke.
Survivors include his wife, daughters Terri Coe and husband Chad, Tracy Niederklein and Son Butch and wife Sandy. Seven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Spencer Brunow, Trevor Brunow, Jeremy Niederklein, Brytton Monroe, Chad Coe, Zach Cambron. Honorary bearers are Jim Graham and Jake Junker.
Private Family Graveside Services will be Friday, December 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.gerdesmeyerfh.com
