Randall L. Wilhelm, 64 of Fairbury, NE passed away February 25, 2018 at Heritage Care Center in Fairbury. He was born November 29, 1953 to Alvin & Phyllis (Koepff) Wilhelm in Beatrice, NE, the 3rd of 5 children.
He attended Dist. 93 until 1
st
grade, Zion Lutheran grade school until 8
th
grade and Graduated from Tri-County in 1971.
Randy had several jobs, working at various restaurants including the Jansen Hotel & the Red Rooster. He moved to Minnesota to study for the Priesthood and then moved back and continued to work in the restaurant business. He was a wonderful Cook – anything from Cordon-bleu to Prime Rib for 300 people.
He was knowledgeable in many languages. German was his shining point, but he also knew Latin, Spanish and Italian. He was also a very good artist. Randy was a member of the Art Guild and was a wonderful painter.
He had so many friends, he will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, brother, and brother-in-law.
Survivors are sisters Ann & husband Richard Johnson of Lincoln, Janice Hermsmeier of Jansen, brother Keith and wife Anne Wilhelm of Lee Summit, MO, nieces and nephews Josh & Tiffany Wilhelm, Patty Johnson, Lisa Hermsmeier and son Christian Guenther and special friends Brandy Hughes, Cheryl Eisenberg and Dave Beetley all of Fairbury.
Services are Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fairbury. Burial will be at a later date as cremation has taken place. Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
