Reiner J. Hein

October 15, 1955 — November 2, 2019

Reiner J. Hein, 64 of Fairbury, passed away November 2, 2019 at his home.  He was born October 15, 1955 to August & Muriel (Eckoff) Hein in Fairbury.

Reiner, an amazing father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, grandfather and friend.

He liked going hunting, collecting guns, fishing, camping anything that meant he could be outside.  He enjoyed spending time on the family farm with his brother Ben helping with whatever needed done.  If someone asked for help if he wasn’t busy working or doing something else, he would be there to help with whatever was needed.  He was a very hard working man, but he liked to have fun too.

He was a dad that could be stern when needed, but he could also be the dad that could be your best friend, who you could vent to on a bad day.  When he wasn’t working, you could find him tinkering around his house, watching football or messing with his guns, he was always busy doing something.

He was and still is a great man who will be missed by everyone, especially his kids and his granddaughter Shelby.

Services will be Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Baptist Church in Fairbury.  The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 5 - 6 at the Funeral Home.
