Robert D. Flagle, 61, of Gilead, NE, passed away January 11, 2017 in Lincoln. He was born September 20, 1955 to Dale and Beverly (Spradling) Flagle in Fairbury.
Survivors are wife Mary, of Gilead, and daughters Jessica & Erin Flagle, both of Lincoln.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis.
Services were Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Fairbury with Pastor Keith Brozek and Shari Lagemann officiating. Cremation has taken place. Register book is available to sign at the Funeral Home. Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Robert "Bob" Dale Flagle,61 passed away January 11, 2017 in LIncoln, NE. Bob was born September 20, 1955 in Fairbury, NE to Dale and Beverly (Spradling) Flagle. He attended Fairbury Public Schools and graduated the class of 1973. He married Mary Keilwitz on October 8, 1976 at the First Presbyterian Church in Fairbury, NE. The couple resided in Fairbury until they moved to an acreage near Gilead in 1978. Out of high school he did construction until he was able to be employed by Roode' s Packing house in Fairbury. After being laid off by the packing house he drove truck for Seward Motor Freight for 31.5 years. The couple had two daughters: Jessica and Erin both of Lincoln, NE. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, working outdoors on the acreage, grilling, working on his John Deere tractor and spending time with his family. He will be missed for his literally larger then life personality and contagious laugh. He was also known for being about to talk to anyone for awhile, quite awhile. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis. Survived by wife Mary, daughters Jessica and Erin and granddog Monte and many family and friends.
