Robert L. Geer

Robert L. Geer, age 82 of Beatrice, Nebraska, formerly of Diller, Nebraska, passed away October 10, 2016. Bob was born July 9, 1934 at Diller, Nebraska, to Orlo R. Geer and Frieda (Kaiser) Geer.

Bob graduated from Diller High School 1951. Upon graduation Bob received a scholarship to Fairbury Junior College. He graduated from college in 1953. He then worked on the railroad until joining the Army for 2 years in Germany. After the Army he began employment with Chevron Oil in Denver, Colorado, and Louisville, Kentucky he remained there for 20 years.

At this time, due to family obligations he returned to Diller, and began employment for StoreKraft Manufacturing in Beatrice, NE, and was employed there for 20 years, until retiring at 62 years old.

Upon retirement he traveled many places with Nancy Lillie (the love of his life) and many friends. Traveling & fishing were Bob’s greatest joys in life.

Bob is survived by many friends & family. He was preceded in death by his parents & brother Don & special friend Nancy Lillie.

Celebration of life service will be October 14, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Diller, NE. No public viewing or visitation. Memorials will go to St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Diller, NE.
