Robert Dale Henrichs was born, March 13, 1935, near Diller, Nebraska, the son of Gerd and Estella (Wasserman) Henrichs. He was baptized April 7, 1935, by Pastor Wolff at St Paul Lutheran Church in Diller, Nebraska. He was confirmed in 1949 at St Paul Lutheran Church, Diller, by Pastor Theodore Moehring and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Odell, for over 60 years and held various church offices. He graduated from Odell High School in 1952. He married Darlene (Holle) Henrichs on September 23, 1956, at Immanual Lutheran Church, Bremen, Kansas, and their union was blessed with a son, Lynn Henrichs, and two daughters, Vicki (Henrichs) Ryser and Jeanne (Henrichs) McIntyre. They farmed in the Lanham area for over 50 years. In addition to farming, he was employed by Adams Welding and Plumbing for several years. He enjoyed going to auctions, square dancing and helping others. Robert's soul departed this world and was taken to his heavenly home on February 20, 2016. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerd and Estella (Wasserman) Henrichs, Mother and Father-in-law, Carl and Marie (Schotte) Holle, sister-in-law, Wilma Holle, brothers-in-law, Ludwig Pralle and Clifford Urban.
He is survived by his wife Darlene, son, Lynn Henrichs and wife, Geri Ann, of Odell, and two daughters, Vicki (Henrichs) Ryser, of Marysville, KS, and Jeanne (Henrichs) McIntyre and husband, Kevin of Odell, 5 grandchildren, Kimberly (Ryser) Marquardt and huband, Wil of Manhattan, KS, Justin Henrichs of Diller, NE, Devin McIntyre of Odell, NE, Andrew Henrichs of Odell, NE, and Kerstin McIntyre of Odell, NE, 2 great-grandchildren Noah and Piper Marquardt of Manhattan, KS, sister, Margie (Henrichs) Dierking and husband, Glen, of Marysville, KS, sisters-in-law, Norma (Holle) Urban, of Clay Center, KS, Verda (Holle) Pralle, of Bremen, KS, and Lola (Holle) Meyer, and husband, Bill, of Crete, NE, one Aunt Cleo Perkins of Diller, NE, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Odell, with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch officiating. There will be visitation at Vance-Gerdes Funeral Home in Odell on Tuesday the 23rd from 1 to 9 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 that evening. Burial will be in the Lanham Cemetery. Memorials will go to Our Savior Lutheran Church-LCMS Mission Central.
