Robert James Milius

Robert "Bob" Milius, born on January 9, 1944, in Fairbury Nebraska, to Walter and Dorrine Milius, passed away peacefully on              September 10, 2024, in Lincoln, Nebraska, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was baptized and made his First Communion at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gilead, Nebraska, and was later confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria, Nebraska.  His deep faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was often found praying the rosary before his diagnosis of Alzheimer's and Aphasia.

Bob met the love of his life, Donna Fink, in Hebron, Nebraska.  They married on November 9, 1963, and spent 60 wonderful years together.  Their marriage was blessed with three children; Steven, Sandra, and Melinda.  Together, Bob and Donna embraced a life of farming - a passion that defined him.  He took great pride in his work and was delighted to see his grandson, Justin, carry on the family tradition.  Bob was also immensely proud of his granddaughter, Chelsea, who pursued a career in nursing and became a mother to his cherished great-granddaughters, Jordyn and Adalynn.

Beyond farming, Bob enjoyed life to the fullest.  He loved boating, camping, golfing and playing cards.  Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchldren and great-grandchildren.

Bob will always be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong Catholic faith, and his unwavering passion for farming.  His gentle spirit, sense of humor, and kind heart left and indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dorrine Milius; his in-laws, Albert and Margaret Fink; and his brother-in-law, John Fink.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna; his children: Steven Milius (Joe Buzzank) of San Antonio, TX; Sandra Kinney (Michael) of Clatonia, NE; and Melinda Sasse (Ron) of Diller, NE.  Bob is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Justin Sasse (Shania), Chelsea Larmeu (Jake), and step-grandchild Sara Kurtzer (Kris); his great-granddaughters, Jordyn and Adalynn Larmeu; his brothers, Dr. Gary Milius (LuAnn) and Ken Milius (Teri); his sister-in-law, Leona Scoville (Jon); and his brothers-in-law, Dr. Anthony Fink (Sarah), Jerry Fink (Myra), Ron Fink (Sally) Dale Fink, Ben Fink (Jill), Dan Fink, Larry Fink (Heather), Chuck Fink (Deanna), sister-in-law Kathy Fink, Aunt, Betty Williams, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
