Robin Lea Niederklein, daughter of Dallas and Ruby (Glinsmann) Niederklein, was born on October 22, 1965, in Fairbury, NE.
Robin was baptized on November 7, 1965 and confirmed April 8, 1979 at Zion Lutheran Church, Tobias. Robin attended Zion Lutheran School through 8 th grade. She attended high school at Meridian Public School, graduating in 1983. In 5th grade, Todd Jordening sat in her chair at Hunter Safety class. Robin said she knew at that moment that she loved him. Robin and Todd were married at Zion Lutheran Church on June 18, 1983. They were blessed with five children; Jenny, Jamie, Jessie, Jonah, and Jaden.
They lived on a farm north of Daykin and Robin began working at the Mid-America feed yard. In 1991, they moved to the family farm. Robin then became a commodity broker for many years. She always had the most beautiful yard. Many people referred to it as a park, as it was always exquisite. Another favorite hobby was feeding the birds. There wasn’t a tree on the place that didn’t have a bird feeder hanging in it, and there wasn’t a bird she couldn’t identify. In the early years, she loved having many fowl around: peacocks, guineas, ducks, geese, chickens, and turkeys. Robin was also an amazing baker. She was well known for her delicious Christmas platters that included many varieties of Christmas cookies, cornflake candy, fudge, peanut brittle and more.
Robin’s joy in life were her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed nothing more than attending their sporting events, music concerts, or just having them hang out and watch tv. It was a blessing having so many of them live close by.
Robin always wanted a herd of cows. In 1989, Robin, June, and Dallas drove to eastern Iowa to pick out 20 head. Over the years, they grew their herd and Robin so loved driving through the baby calves each spring. Her ear tags always included a smiley face in every zero. Todd and Robin also ran a dairy for 27 years which occupied much of their time.
On April 5, 2023, Robin was called to her heavenly home surrounded by her family. Robin is survived by her husband, Todd, of nearly 40 years and children; Jenny and Cameron Kumpf, Jamie Jordening, Jessie Howard, and Jonah and Maddy Jordening, grandchildren; Kolton, Kenzie, and Kipton Kumpf, Corbin and Cambry Howard, and Kyler Jordening.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Jaden. Survivors include brothers Gene (Ardis) Niederklein, Roy (Dorene) Niederklein, Kent (Echo) Niederklein, and Mark (Peggy) Niederklein, sister June (Tom) Jordening, many nieces, nephews and their families.
