Ronald R Hellbusch

Ronald R. Hellbusch, 67, Fairbury, NE passed away December 20, 2022, in Lincoln.  He was born March 7, 1955, to Rodney Leroy & Elnora Elaine (Frades) Hellbusch in Fairbury.

Ron was baptized & confirmed in 1955 at St. Paul Lutheran Church  of Gilead, NE and was a member of the church all his life.  He was a Deacon, in the choir, Brotherhood, and on the church council.

He worked at Russell Stovers, UPS, and on the Union Pacific Railroad for 25 years.  Ron went to school in Fairbury and graduated in 1973, and then went on to Fairbury & UNL College.

Ron married Mary Danner on February 25, 2012. He became a step-dad to 4 kids, grandfather to 10 & great-grandfather to 5. He loved his family and friends.  Ron owned his own business “The Lizard Lounge” in Fairbury.

Leaving behind a wife, Mary of Fairbury, parents Elnora & Rodney of Reynolds, brothers Gary (Yvonne) of Hebron, Alan (Crissy) of Hebron, sister Annette (Kent) Elder of Plattsburg, MO, 4 step-children, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ron is preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 1 – 4 p.m. at Fairbury VFW Club.
