Roy Charles "Bud" Schmidt

Roy Charles "Bud" Schmidt of Fairbury, Nebraska formerly of Elgin, Nebraska passed away on September 27, 2012. He was born October 10, 1925 at Neligh, Nebraska the son of Charles and Louise Lange Schmidt.


Survivors include his son Pastor Charles Schmidt and wife Brenda of Fairbury, grandchildren Korinna Rodencal and husband Joel, Nathan Schmidt and wife Sarah, Brendon Schmidt and wife Amy all of Lincoln, Nebraska, 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, infant brother, sister June Braband and brother-in-law Art Braband.


Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury and will greet friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the church. Burial will be at the Park Center Cemetery of rural Elgin.
