Samuel Lawrence Lindley of Deshler, NE, age 29, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

Sam was born on December 6, 1991, to Jerry and Colleen Lindley, in Beatrice, NE.  He grew up outside of Plymouth, NE, before recently moving to Deshler, NE.  Sam graduated from Tri County High School in 2010 and attended Southeast Community College, where he received a degree in ag business.

Sam held various jobs in the community.  He mowed the Woodlawn cemetery, milked cows, wrapped trees at McGary's Christmas tree farm, and assisted with youth wrestling.  Sam helped farmers with harvest and enjoyed country living, especially driving truck for his older brother, Seth.  From 2015 until present, Sam worked at D&K Agri-Sales as their crane operator.  In Sam's spare time, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, tractor pulling and spending time with his friends and loved ones.

Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Colleen Lindley of Plymouth; his brother, Seth Lindley and Corinne Brooner; nephew, Emmett Lindley of Plymouth; significant other, Hailey Gehle of Deshler, who is expecting the couple's first child; Hailey's daughters, Kailyn and Kinslie Gehle of Deshler; grandparent, Doris Lindley of Caldwell, ID; aunts and uncles, Dave and Jann Bell of Ontario, OR, Jean Lindley of Caldwell ID, Pat and Annie Lawrence of Lincoln, Terry and Connie Bures of Ellis, Kenny and Cory Schraeder of Beatrice, Lance and Michelle Lawrence of Hanover; and many cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by grandparents Bruce Lindley of Idaho and Clyde and Betty Lawrence of Diller; aunts and uncles Dan & Jill Swett of Endicott and Mark and Patricia Lawrence of Fairbury.

A celebration of Sam's life will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at the Community Building in Plymouth, NE.  Pastor Mike McDonald will be officiating. The family requests casual attire at the service; blue jeans and boots.  Masks required. Cremation, no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for Sam and Hailey's daughter.
