Sandra Louise Clay

Sandra Louise Clay (Ebeling), 70 of Hollenberg, KS, died May 5th, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice, NE.

She was born November 22, 1954, to James and Novella Ebeling (Woodside) in Washington, KS. She was the oldest of 3 children.

She grew up in Steele City, NE and graduated from Fairbury High School in 1973. Sandy married Mike Clay September 22, 1974, and they had 2 children, Chad & Dena.

Sandy enjoyed crafts and sewing. She worked at Swingsters in Fairbury before it closed, and then at Walmart until retirement in 2016.

In retirement Sandy enjoyed her 2 cats Clapton & BB, tending to her herb garden and going on bus trips to quilt stores.

She was preceded in death by her father James Otis Ebeling, her son Chad Michael Clay, husband Raymond (Mike) Clay and Brother James Owen Ebeling.

She is survived by daughter Dena Bonser and husband Matthew of Hanover, grandson Warren Bushnell, mother Novella Woodside of Fairbury, sister Sue and husband Scott Erickson of Steele City, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Jansen Bible Church with Pastor Paul Carpenter officiating. Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
