The family of Shari Lee Schwisow is deeply saddened to announce her sudden passing at her home on February 19, 2025. At the age of 81, she entered her heavenly home, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Shari was born on December 28, 1943, in Fairbury, Nebraska, to Paul and Bonnie (Dein) Davidson. The eldest of two daughters, she grew up in Alexandria, Nebraska, and graduated from Alexandria High School in 1962.

On June 14, 1962, Shari married Jack A. Jarchow at the Presbyterian Church in Alexandria. Together, they built a life centered around faith, family, and hard work. They were blessed with three children Terry Lynn, Bradley Paul, and Kelly Layne while farming near Ohiowa, Nebraska. Their farm flourished with crops, a farrowing-to-finish hog operation, and cattle production. In 1986, they moved to Shickley, Nebraska, where they embraced a new chapter in their lives.

Shari had a deep love for gardening, known for her "big" garden where she joyfully canned and froze corn during yearly family gatherings. She had a remarkable green thumb, growing vibrant flowers and plants with ease. A talented cook and baker, she took pride in preparing large family meals, making holidays and special occasions truly memorable. Above all, she was devoted to her children and never missed a single 4-H event, sports game, or activity they participated in. A gifted pianist and organist, Shari shared her talents at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ohiowa, playing for numerous weddings and church services throughout the years.

Following Jack’s passing in 1992, Shari found love again and married Dennis Lee Schwisow on March 17, 1993, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in McAllen, Texas. She became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Daykin, Nebraska. Together, she and Dennis built a home in Western, Nebraska, overlooking the farm they cared for. They enjoyed winters in Mission, Texas, where they formed lasting friendships, and spent precious time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, attending as many of their activities as possible.

Shari and Dennis shared a passion for agriculture, operating a Vermeer Baler dealership, baling hay, and driving the countryside to check on their farmland. She was a devoted Husker football fan and found joy in crossword puzzles, Solitaire, and card games.

Shari is survived by her children:

Bradley Paul Jarchow and wife Vicki, with children Jenica Lynn and JadeLyn Rose

Kelly Layne (Jarchow) Maronde and husband Darren, with children Atlanta Layne and daughter Lilly Layne, Allee Louise, and Ansley Lee

She is also survived by her sister Rhonda Henning and wife Dawn Wiedel, along with their family:  Kari Pester and husband Ron, with daughter Alexandra and husband Leighton Fintel  Jason Henning and fiancée Jen Knific

She is also remembered by her stepfamily:

Kevin Schwisow  Kelly (Schwisow) Theis and husband Scott, with children Michael and wife Beth Theis, and children Madison, Gabrielle, and Bailey Wendy Zielke and husband Josh, with children Alex and Eli  Danielle Jaeger and husband Jacob, with children Charlotte, Huckson, and Kipton

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Jarchow; her parents, Paul and Bonnie Davidson; her son, Terry Lynn; and her second husband, Dennis Schwisow.

Shari will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her faith, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A funeral service for Shari will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Daykin, Nebraska, on February 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Alex Bjoraker presiding.

Graveside services will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Daykin, Nebraska.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM, with family present at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Daykin, Nebraska, and St. John’s Lutheran Church of Ohiowa, Nebraska, in Shari’s honor.

Following the service, please join the family at the Western Fire Hall in Western, Nebraska, for a meal provided by KT’s Market.
