Stephen Scheer

Stephen P. Scheer age 91 of Fairbury, NE., passed away June 26, 2008 at the Heritage Care Center in Fairbury. He was born December 13, 1916 at Morrowville, KS.

Survivors are wife: Viola Scheer of Fairbury, sons: Dan Scheer & wife Patsy of Staplehurst, NE., Father Allen Scheer of Salina, KS., 3 grandchildren: Jeff Scheer & wife Sarah of Lincoln, Laurie Scheer & fiance Lee Golden of Staplehurst, Valerie Scheer & fiance Shane Thompson of Lincoln, 3 sisters-in-law: Vonia Scheer of Fairbury, Eileen Holliday & husband Steve of Fairbury, Elsie Theye of Wilmot, SD., Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & Friends. Preceded by parents Paul & Hedwig (Huber) Scheer, son Martin Scheer, sister & husband Pauline & Dale Arnold, brother: Francis Scheer, brother-in-law: Harold Theye.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday June 30, 2008 at the Gerdes-Meyer Chapel in Fairbury, due to St. Michael's Catholic Church being remodeled. Vigil service will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday June 29 at the Gerdes-Meyer Chapel in Fairbury. Bishop Paul Coakley, Father Allen Scheer, Father Chacko Mathai, & Concelebrating Priests officiating. Memorials to St. Michael's Catholic Church, Dialysis Center of Lincoln, Heritage Care Center.
