Terry Lee Beachler, 60, of Cripple Creek, Colorado died at home with friends September 18, 2017 of liver cancer. He graduated from Fairbury High School in 1975, and joined the U.S. Army spending three years as a specialist fourth class. He then went to work for the climax mine in Leadville, Colorado, until closing in the early 80's. He then worked for mechanical companies repairing and installing refrigeration and heating. He worked for the state department of roads and Peterson manufacturing in Dewitt, Nebraska.
In early 2000 he moved to Cripple Creek, CO where he worked at the double eagle hotel as a maintenance man. Terry came down with cancer in late 2003, he recovered and worked for the Molly Kathleen mine as a tour guide. He loved mining and prospecting, camping and fishing, gardening, and taking care of trees. He was also a carpenter and built houses in Cripple Creek in early 2003. He loved his mountain home. He was born in Fairbury, NE on December 21, 1956 and grew up in Mahaska, Kansas. He moved to Fairbury, NE in 1971 with his family.
He is survived by his father and mother Roscoe and Marcella, brother and wife Michael and Rita Beachler and sister Lori and Quince Michl, four nieces and nephew's, four great nieces and nephew's and many friends.
No viewing, memorials services will be set at a later date.
