Thelma Louise Bartels

Thelma Louise Bartels, 76, of Fairbury, passed away June 25, 2025, at Gardenside LTC in Fairbury. She was born September 10, 1948, to Eldo & Evelyn (Schwisow) Nolte in Fairbury.

She graduated from Daykin High School and married Robert Bartels on September 3, 1967, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Daykin, NE. To this union were born Brian, Missy and Andrea. Robert passed away April 30, 2001.

Thelma enjoyed being a house wife, a stay at home mom, knitting and hanging out with her grandkids.

She is survived by children Brian Bartels (Jennifer Seibolt, significant other), Missy Bartels (Mark Hollister, significant other) both of Fairbury, NE, Andrea & Corey Tegethoff of Washington, KS, grandchildren Amanda (Nathan) Doss, Michaela Bartels, Thomas (Rachel) Nimmich, Caitlin (Jacob) Starckey, Casey Nimmich, Dylan Au, Malorie Tegethoff and Kendal Tegethoff, 9 great-grandchildren, siblings Tony (Candy) Nolte of Daykin and Mark Nolte of Virginia, NE.

She was preceded in death by husband Robert Bartels, her parents and grandparents and brother Gary Nolte.
