Tyler E. Stamey

Tyler Stamey was born to Darrell & Debbie (Bramhall) Stamey on September 2, 1986.  He died on January 16, 2023 at the age of 36.  Tyler was baptized on September 21, 1986, at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Jansen, NE.  He graduated from Fairbury High School in 2004.  Tyler worked at Wal-mart for 17 years at Fairbury.

Tyler was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan and Detroit Lions Fan.  He also enjoyed playing poker with his friends and loved playing pool and enjoyed going to pool tournaments.

Tyler’s pride and joy was his 7-year-old daughter Whitney. He loved her so much!

Tyler is survived by his daughter Whitney (Lincoln, NE) and parents Darrell & Debbie Stamey (Jansen, NE) and sister Stephanie (Travis) Wellman (Williston, ND). He is also survived by his uncles Terry (Colleen) Bramhall and Tom (Nichel) Bramhall all of Fairbury, NE, aunts Lori (Larry) McBride of Fairbury, Pam (Jim) Behrends of Jansen, NE and Mary Winkler of Topeka, KS and numerous cousins and friends and all his pool players that he considered his family.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Dean & Eva Bramhall and Bernice Stamey.

Tyler had a strong faith in God and never lost his faith through his battle with Glioblastoma brain tumor.  He loved his daughter Whitney and his family, relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services are January 20 at Grace Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m. in Fairbury with Pastor Glen Emery officiating.  Pallbearers are Devin Belding, Austin Bahr, Josh Jordan, Mike Rehrs, Arden LaShell, and Mark Hicok. Honorary bearers are Greg Ackman, Dave Brockway, Kevin Kracht, Vince Warner, Tim Kearn, Nathan Brown, Tom Bower, Kevin Belding, Scott Buss, Bob Eyer, Ron Sasse and Skylar Meints (also soloist). Burial at the Fairbury Cemetery, Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials will go to Grace Lutheran Church and Cottonwood Hospice.
