Velda E. Gydesen

Velda E. Gydesen, age 81 of Beatrice, Nebraska formerly of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away on December 19, 2009 at Beatrice. She was born November 15, 1928 at Spalding, Nebraska the daughter of Winwood and Amelia Wetzel Crosby.

Survivors include her children Perry Gydesen and wife Sharon of Odell, Nebraska, Tammi Herbold and husband Kent of Spencer, Iowa, Michael Gydesen of Aberdeen, South Dakota, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Paul Crosby, Lyal Crosby, Luke Crosby, sisters Lillian Mae Crosby, Charlotte Crosby, Margie Munsinger and
Mildred Wray.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Odell with Pastor Fay Hubbard officiating.
Memorials are to the family’s choice. Vance-Gerdes Funeral Home of Odell is in charge of arrangements.
