Walter “Spike” Oliver 69 of Fairbury, NE. passed away February 12, 2017. He was born February 5, 1948 at Washington, KS. to Burnice & Christina (Montague) Oliver. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran. Survivors are Daughter: Tracey & Jason Gowen of Kearney, NE., Son: Shane Oliver of Daphne, AL., 4 Grandchildren, Sisters: Gail Roberts of Tomball, TX., Kay & Charles Endorf, Bobbi & Melvin Keller, Carrie Siebe, Brothers: Roy Oliver, Albert Oliver, Leon & Kim Oliver all of Fairbury, Numerous Nieces & Nephews. Services will be at 10:30 am Friday February 17, 2017 at Gerdes-Meyer Chapel in Fairbury, with Pastor Charles Schmidt officiating. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday February 16th at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury. Burial will be at the Washington Cemetery-Washington, KS. Memorials to the Family’s Choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
